TL;DR — the short version

Terms of use

What Landvio provides

Landvio is a property intelligence platform that aggregates and presents publicly available New Zealand property data — including zoning, land title information, capital valuations, natural hazard overlays, and infrastructure data — in a single, accessible interface.

Landvio is an information tool, not a professional adviser. Nothing on Landvio constitutes legal, financial, planning, or investment advice. You should obtain independent professional advice before making any property decision.

Data accuracy

Property data is sourced from LINZ, various Council', MBIE, StatsNZ, and other government or commercial agencies. We work hard to present this data accurately, but we cannot guarantee it is complete, current, or free from error. Data is updated on a best-efforts basis and may not reflect very recent council decisions or title changes.

For planning matters, always consult the relevant council's district plan and GIS viewer. For title matters, obtain a current record from LINZ. Landvio is designed to help you get to the right answer faster — not to replace the authoritative sources.

Acceptable use

You may use Landvio for lawful personal or business purposes relating to property research, due diligence, and analysis. You must not:

Systematically scrape, download, or extract data from Landvio in bulk; resell or redistribute Landvio data or outputs as a standalone data product; use Landvio to build a competing service; or attempt to circumvent access controls, rate limits, or subscription tiers.

Subscriptions and billing

Landvio offers a free tier and a Pro subscription billed monthly or annually. Payments are processed securely by Stripe — Landvio does not store your card details. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings, effective at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds on monthly subscriptions. Annual subscriptions cancelled within 14 days of payment may be eligible for a pro-rated refund — contact us at hello@landvio.co.nz.

Intellectual property

Landvio's interface, brand, and original written content are owned by Landvio Limited. Underlying property data is sourced from public agencies and retains the licences of those agencies — LINZ data is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0, Auckland Council data under its respective open data licence.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Landvio's liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or speculative losses.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Landvio after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Privacy policy

Our approach

We collect the minimum personal information needed to run Landvio. We do not run advertising, we do not sell your data, and we do not share your information with third parties for their marketing purposes. This policy is written in plain English because we think you deserve to understand it.

Landvio is subject to the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

Account information — your email address and name when you create an account or join the waitlist. If you sign up via Google, we receive only the information Google provides (name, email).

Usage data — which properties you look up, which layers you enable, and general platform usage. This helps us understand how Landvio is used and improve the product. It is not linked to property market data or shared externally.

Payment information — billing is handled entirely by Stripe. Landvio does not see or store your card details.

What we don't collect

We do not track you across other websites. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. We do not collect information about properties beyond what is needed to retrieve and display public data for that parcel.

Property data vs your data

An important distinction: the property information Landvio displays (zoning, CV values, hazard overlays, title details) is publicly available data about properties, not personal data about you. This data is sourced from LINZ, various Council's, MBIE, and other public agencies and is not linked to your account.

How we store it

Your account data is stored in a secure database, hosted on AWS infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region. We use Vercel for application hosting and Resend for transactional email. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections if it is inaccurate, and request deletion of your account and personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@landvio.co.nz and we will respond within 10 working days.

Questions or concerns

If you have any questions about how we handle your information, please contact us at hello@landvio.co.nz. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
